In the glass we find all pulpy and ripe Nebbiolo grapes and the enological mastery that followed day by day the evolution of this wine, a triumph of elegance for expert winelovers.

Denomination: Barbaresco D.O.C.G. Riserva.

Grape variety: 100% Nebbiolo.

Area of production: The 4 villages in the Barbaresco wine-growing area.

Vinification: Crushing and destemming; fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C. Maceration on the skins for 12 days, with daily pumping of the must over the cap.

Refining: Aged in casks of Slavonian oak, and the in the bottle.

Cellar life: 10 years.

Try to match with lamb, duck, preferably baked or cooked to reduce the fat component and enhance the flavors.
This Barbaresco DOCG Reserve can accompany beautifully even a sophisticated selection of aged cheeses shared at the end of the dinner.

The Nebbiolo variety

Nebbiolo grapes gives life to one of the most important Piedmont wines and, perhaps, in the world: Barolo and Barbaresco.
The name derives from the fact that the harvest of nebbiolo is the last one, usually in October, when there is fog (in Italian “nebbia”), or because the berries are covered with a sort of patina, “pruina”, which would remember the haze.
